When making my website, I utilized many of the web design principles from class. Contrast was useful when I used a gray landscape photo for a page background. I needed white text for effective contrast so it was more visible. Proximity also came in handy when I made organized lists on my web page. I liked using the elements because my design choices became more intentional. I plan to use these web elements in future assignments to improve my digitial design skills.

QR codes in the classroom are such a great idea. This is a responsible way students can use technology in the classroom. The codes could link to various tools like a thesaurus, formula guide, flow chart, or any other resource that could be useful if it were easily accessible to students. Simply post them around different spots or even have a dedicated poster for the QR codes. A specific area for the codes could include a phone charging station for students to use too.
Below is the ethical use of technology case I am responding to:
I like this problem because the question of using AI to write an essay is one that has been very popular among my peers. Many claim to consistently use AI to complete their homework, but to write an entire essay is absurdly cheating. The dilemma posed a growing problem, that the result of having such an easy way to cheat leads to many students lacking true understanding of the material. Students will likely fall behind because of this. The solution is to encourage students to not just cheat because they will be caught by AI grading prograns. I will also encourage them to absolve from cheating because they are doing a disservice to themselves. They have the potential to understand, learn, and grow from their own creative writing. It holds students back, so I will encourage them not to use it by teaching writing workshops that will boost their writing confidence.
Hey Gavin! I really loved your website, I feel like I know exactly what to expect when I walk into your classroom!
